Today when I was looking for Stone crushing equipments manufacturers for
comparative analysis I reached to profiles of some manufacturers also providing rotary kiln and rotary dryer separately, according to catalogs of both of these products I didn't find as such difference between them so I started figuring and exploring about how they are different from each other. Even Though these two products allocate same thermal function principles,
they utilized in entirely dissimilar applications. As rotary kilns can dry materials,
their main concern is actually not drying, but basically heating.
Rotary dryers are more or less all the time used for drawing dampness out of a material. Usually, they work at temperatures between 800º to1400ºF.Furthermore, concerned with result of a chemical reaction. That is why, they require functioning at greatly higher temperature, between 1000º to 3000º.
Whereas, Rotary kilns are designed to installed with much upper temperatures than a rotary dryer. Rotary dryers are actually not lined, and their steel is not capable of resisting high temperatures.
Both of them are very much in demand for any industrial plant mainly for calcining and drying purpose of chemical and building raw materials.
