Familiar reaction with customers

On number of occasions, you need to become like and talk like the customer is talking to you because if you stick to being mechanical then customer with unwanted attitude but with potential lead will over-look your offer and move ahead. Today, one of my colleagues raised the point upon my working style, why am I talking as if my nationality is different and have different religion it’s good to have feedback from your fellow workers it helps you to re-think what you are doing and help you to analyze about your doings are right or wrong. I, then replied him humbly that everything depends upon the intention Like If my intention is opposite to my belief and my culture then this should be an alarming situation for myself. But, just for the sake of being familiar and reaching the psyche of customer I strongly believe what I am doing is not wrong. That situation started off with my telephonic conversation with a buyer from india who was looking for  Stone crushing equipments manufacturers I started the call with greetings, “Namaskaa” as "Hi" and Sanskrit word like “Dhannewaad” as "Thank you".
